Incoming Freshmen

Incoming freshmen who are interested to stay in a residential college should apply to one of two distinctive academic programmes:

Please note that you will not be able to apply or be admitted to both programmes at the same time.

University Town Residential Programme (UTRP)

The UTRP welcomes applications from incoming freshmen across all Faculties/Schools. Students admitted as part of the UTRP freshman intake will be offered a two-year residency in either College of Alice & Peter Tan or Tembusu College, during which they should complete the UTRP curriculum comprising five modules.

Interested applicants should submit an online application via the University Town Residential Programme Application System#. Shortlisted candidates will be invited for an interview.

You will be assessed based on your two essays and interview, in addition to your academic achievements and co-curricular experiences.

In your application you may indicate your preference, if any, for either College of Alice & Peter Tan or Tembusu College, but your eventual placement (if selected) may be different.

Admission into the UTRP is contingent upon your acceptance of an offer to pursue an undergraduate degree programme in NUS. You may apply for the UTRP concurrently with or after your NUS application.

The second application window for incoming freshmen is open from 6 May 2013, 9:00AM to 6 June 2013, 11:59PM. To apply, click here.

# Note: The application system is not available from 1:00AM to 6:00AM daily due to system updates and maintenance.
