Equipped with mobile furniture for easy reconfiguration, the technology-infused seminar rooms at the Education Resource Centre (ERC) and Town Plaza are designed to promote more interactive learning. These facilities enable the lecturer to be more of a facilitator to the class, encouraging students to adopt a more proactive approach in synthesising data and information.
The Active Learning Room promotes exchange and collaboration within as well as amongst groups of students with the enhanced audio/visual equipment while the Global Learning Room is designed to facilitate interactive lectures and discussions between locations across NUS' campuses as well as with other local and overseas sites. Teaching and learning beyond the classroom are thus encouraged.
There is also a 25-seater seminar room, otherwise known as the Learning Studio, that is furnished with high-end laptops to support both classroom activities and software training classes.
